Food Station & Cart Catering FAQ
How our staffed food stations and carts work, from guest counts and setup to travel and booking. Still wondering about something? Ask us.
What's included when we book a cart or station?
Everything needed to serve your guests: the cart or station, all ingredients, cups, cones, plates and napkins, our crew to set up, cook and serve, and cleanup afterwards. Prices start from 50 guests and 2 hours of serving.
Do you rent out equipment or do drop-off?
No. Every cart comes with our crew. We bring it, run it, serve your guests and pack it up, so nobody at your party is stuck behind a machine.
How many guests does one cart or station serve, and how long does it run?
Our prices start from 50 guests with 2 hours of serving, and we add guests at a per-guest rate where one is listed. For big crowds we suggest a second cart or a second station so the lines stay short. Extra serving time is $150 an hour.
Do you travel to my town?
We serve New Jersey (Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, Essex, Morris, Union, Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset, Ocean and more) and New York (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Nassau and Suffolk). Travel within that area is included; your written quote confirms it. See our service areas.
How much space and power does a cart need? Can you work on grass?
Most carts need a flat spot of roughly 6 by 8 feet and a standard outlet nearby, and they roll onto grass, blacktop or a gym floor. Stations like the pizza oven and fry bar need more room and usually set up outdoors or in venues that allow cooking. We go over your exact setup before the day.
How early do you arrive and how long is setup?
We arrive ahead of your guests so everything is ready when the party starts. Carts set up quickly; full stations take longer. Your quote lists the arrival time for your event.
Can we book more than one station? Do you have packages?
Yes. Mix and match any carts and stations, or start from a party pack: Backyard Bash (soft serve + fry bar) from $950, Block Party (pizza + fry bar + soft serve) from $2,150, or The Big One (pizza + fry bar + soft serve + slush cart) from $2,550, each for 50 guests.
Can you put our school name, company logo or a message on the cart?
Ask us when you request a quote. We'll tell you what we can do for your date and include it in the quote if it's possible.
Can we choose flavors and toppings?
Yes. Pick your slush and snow cone flavors, cotton candy colors, soft serve toppings and pizza styles when you book, or let us suggest the crowd favorites.
Do you handle allergies or dietary requests?
Tell us what your guests need and we'll share ingredients and suggest the right stations. Our carts and stations use shared equipment, so we can't promise an allergen-free environment.
Do you work indoors at schools, gyms and offices?
Yes. Carts like slush, popcorn, cotton candy, soft pretzels and the coffee bar work well indoors. Fryers and the pizza oven depend on the venue's rules, so we check with you first.
How far ahead should we book, and how do I hold a date?
Three to four weeks ahead is a smart move, and earlier for spring and summer weekends or June school events. Send a quote request; once you approve the written quote, your date is held.
What happens if it rains?
For outdoor events, plan a tent, pavilion, garage or indoor backup spot for the carts and stations. If the weather turns, we'll work with you on the setup.
Do you do school field days, fun fairs and PTA events?
Yes, they're some of our favorite days. See our school events page for the carts schools book most.
Ready to plan the fun part?
Tell us your date, town and guest count. We’ll send back a clear written quote, usually with a suggestion or two.
